This produces a striking radiating pattern with beautiful depth and light reflection. The green centre is framed by an ornately detailed white enamel border with delicate gold accents, giving the compact a refined and balanced appearance.
The base is likely sterling silver or high-quality silver plate, showing a soft, attractive patina consistent with age. The enamel decoration is composed of finely ground glass fused to the metal, a hallmark of quality French workmanship of the period.
