Bridget's Cabinet was able to get its hands to some original stage items from the Parisian theater Folie Bergerès , these items come from the collection of a former director of the famous French Folies Bergeres Theater from Paris. One of these items is this stunning handmade 1940's sequined evening dress, once used in a show in the Folie Bergerès, despite it has been used during all these performances , this dress is still in very good condition however because of its age and performer usage there is a small spot on the dress where there are some sequins missing (as can being seen in attached pics)Just enlarge the pictures and you will see the beautiful details.A very colorful eye-catching item this is. Stunning sequin patterns all over . it must have taken a real long time to fabricate this stunning piece by hand, on the inside you see all the hand-stitched sequin patterns and inside the dress there is still a name tag where you can find the name of the performer.This is a real opportunity for collectors of old theater and stage costumes because these treasures come straight from the private collection of a former Folie Bergeres director.
