This is another very rare 1920s wig from a unique private collection from France we were able to obtain after many years, there aren't many left in the world today, you can either find them in museums or private collections. they were quite a hit in the Roaring Twenties. they are so rare, if you google these wigs you may find just a few of them in museums or past sales. One of the finest and most elegant wig cloches to be found, the wig is woven from very thin and fine sort of raffia threads into the classic hairdo of the 1920s Flapper period, complete with finger waves all over and pinned-up curls at the back and a mysterious curl on the forehead. What makes this evening wig extravagant is the black color and the 2 little foam ears. Can you imagine who did wear this wig once and what a lovely dress she must have had combined with this wig? A very rare treasure from the roaring Twenties in superb condition and even still wearable. it is woven on a silk/cotton cap. These kinds of wigs were hype during the 1920s, they became very popular and also well-known as a "bad hair day " wig. They came in many different versions but there aren't many left these days. you can find them only in private collections or museums. This wig is also coming from a private collection and is considered a beautiful treasure from the past, a real museum piece.
