19th C. Guignol Puppet Theater
Bridget's Cabinet found this beautiful 19th. Century french Guignol puppet theatre, it comes with 2 original Guignol puppets. it is a medium-sized theatre which are very hard to find, the height of this theatre is 33,46 inch. it still has all its stunning vibrant original colours, it has a nice hand-painted scene on the front. As mentioned this theatre comes with 2 original hand-made Guignol dolls which is a very unique find. These were the toys for the wealthy in those days. Considering it is about 140 years old this beauty is still in very good condition, there is of course some wear, all the stunning ornaments on the front are still complete, the front is a stunning patina like green. it still has its original rollable curtain and has a 2 sided background so you are able to have 2 different scenes.
